Roing, Jun 4: The 5th Edition State Level Hangpan Dada Memorial Trophy 2022 concluded today with Kra Daadi district emerging the winners in football(Boys) and runners up in football(Girls) and winners in both Girls and Boys volleyball. Lohit district was the winner in football (Girls) and runners up in volleyball(Girls). Longding took home the runners up trophy in football(Boys).
The concluding ceremony held today was attended by the Chairman (Sports Authority of Arunachal) Byabang Taj, MLA Mutchu Mithi, DC Soumya Saurabh, DC Longding, Secretary(Arunachal Pradesh Football Association) Kipa Ajay, relatives of late Hangpan Dada and a host of dignitaries. 
Byabang Taj, addressing the gathering, stated that the state was committed to promote sports under the leadership and guidance of CM Pema Khandu and Minister(Sports) Mama Natung with an aim to see sportspersons from the state representing the country in the 2024 and 2028 Olympic Games. We have prepared a roadmap and are scouring talents from throughout the state for training in national level facilities to achieve this aim of ours, he added. 
Encouraging the players, he said that the HDMT is a platform for the young players to hone and showcase their talent that can be nurtured and developed. He also advised the young players to persevere, practice and play to succeed with a long term goal in mind.
MLA Mutchu Mithi stressed on the need for talent to go hand in hand with discipline and hard work to succeed in Sports. He also advocated  ‘Drugs Choro, Khel Se Joro’ Abhiyan saying that it shouldn’t be confined to one district and the message should spread throughout the state.
Director(Sports) Tadar Apa, DC Soumya Saurabh and relatives of late Hangpan Dada also spoke on the occasion.
