ITANAGAR, May 10: Monday proved to be a distressing day for Arunachal Pradesh with four more patients succumbing to Covid, taking the state’s casualty tally to 64.
The four deceased Covid patients included a 44-year old male private school teacher who was undergoing treatment at DCH Midpu and although referred to DCH Chimpu was declared dead on arrival. A 60-year old male hailing from Roing and suffering from various comorbidities died at AMCH, Dibrugarh. An 18-year old female diagnosed with Covid pneumonia died in Sirro village, Ziro in Lower Subansiri and in Kalaktang, West Kameng, a 53-year old male diagnosed with enteric fever and Covid positive died on the way to DCHC, Bomdila. Meanwhile, with addition of 205 new cases on the day, with the bulk coming from ICR-61, the state’s active Covid count is now 1955 and with 179 recoveries, 54 and 52 noticed in the ICR and LDV respectively, the recovery tally has risen to 18351. As of Monday, 1733 individuals across the state were on home isolation. 2872 samples were also collected across the state on Monday with maximum collection in Namsai-452.   Currently there are 34 Covid patients at DCH Chimpu, 67 at SQF Lekhi, 14 at DCHC Midpu, 10 at DCH Pasighat and 4 at DCHC.
