ITANAGAR, Jun 30: Four more citizens in the state have succumbed to Covid-19 which took the casualty count to 172 on Wednesday and recoveries were lesser than new cases, like the earlier day.
Casualties
A 73-yr old male from Namsai district who was inoculated with both doses and suffering from various comorbidities expired on Tuesday at Sanjivani Hospital in Dibrugarh due to cardiac arrest. A 22-yr old male also from Namsai suffering from the comorbidity of encephalitis and administered with the 1st dose died today at DCHC Namsai. A 33-yr old male Covid patient from the ICR whose vaccination status is unknown expired today at the casualty ward of the TRIHMS due to a cardio-respiratory arrest. At DCHC Yingkiong, a 52-yr old male Covid patient who was inoculated with dose 1 passed away due to ARDS. Recoveries, New Cases, Sample Collection
286 new cases (asymptomatic 136; symptomatic 150) were recorded from across the state. ICR (71), Upper Subansiri ( 29), Lohit (20), LDV(20) were the most affected districts. Of the 207 new recoveries, the first 4 districts were ICR (52), West Kameng (47), Kurung Kumey (18) and Changlang (18). On Wednesday evening, the state’s active caseload stood at 2762 and recoveries at 32923. 4782 samples were collected from across the state on the day with a maximum from the ICR (1070).
Vaccination
In the '18 years and above' age category, 12780 took their first dose on the day that took the coverage percentage to 62 and 785 their 2nd shot (11% coverage so far).
Occupancy status
At the CCCs till 8 pm on Wednesday evening it was: 40 at DCH Chimpu, 24 at SQF Lekhi, 1 at DCHC Midpu, 6 at DCH Pasighat and 25 at DCHC.
