TUTING, Jan 13: Health Minister Alo Libang attended  the  Health camp outreach programme organized by Tomo Riba Institute of Health & Medical Science (TRIHMS) at community health centre, Tuting here today.
Elaborating on the 3-day health outreach programme, Libang said that people face lack of health facilities due to lack of proper road communication in places such as Tuting located in the easternmost border of the state.
Around twenty two doctors from different departments of health from Itanagar reached the Upper Siang district last Saturday for the health camp.“An effort to provide medical services at the doorstep and to create health awareness among the villagers, TRIHMS has reached Tuting, Yingkiong and Mosing today,” he said.
During the three days of the programme, villagers will be provided every medical health care. Besides, an interpersonal communication meeting on maternal, reproductive and child health is served on top priority, he added.
The health outreach programme which started on January 10 came to a successful closure today with mass participation of villagers.
