ITANAGAR, Apr 10: Along with the rest of the country, District Legal Services Authorities of Arunachal Pradesh on Saturday successfully conducted 2021’s first National Lok Adalat under guidance from Arunachal Pradesh State Legal Services Authority (APSLSA).
A total of 632 pre-litigation and pending cases were listed, out of which 96 were settled.  Rs. 75,15,853.45  as settlement compensation amount was recovered  for the litigants and financial institutions. The cases that were listed pertained to criminal compoundable, bank recovery, MACT, NI Act, matrimonial disputes etc.  The National Lok Adalats were conducted by the District & Sessions courts of Yupia,  Tezu,  Bomdila, Chief Judicial Magistrates of Seppa, Yupia, Pasighat, Aalo, Changlang, Daporijo, Ziro and the Judicial Magistrates First Class of Yupia, Tawang, Longding  Namsai and Khonsa.
