ITANAGAR, Dec 12: Along with the rest of the country, District Legal Services Authorities in the state today successfully conducted the last National Lok Adalat of 2020 under guidance from the Arunachal Pradesh State Legal Services Authority.
Altogether 215 pre-litigations including bank recovery and other cases were listed out of which 2 were disposed of with a settlement amount of Rs 4000. Out of the 168 pending cases including those relating to criminal compoundable, bank recovery, matrimonial dispute, MACT, NI Act, civil and others, 36 cases were disposed of with a settlement amount of Rs 23,33,709.50.
The courts at which the National Lok Adalat were conducted were District & Sessions Courts of Yupia and Bomdila, Addl. District & Sessions Court, Basar, Chief Judicial Magistrate courts in Yupia, Pasighat, Aalo, Roing and the courts of Judicial Magistrate First Class in Yupia, Tawang, Longding and Namsai.
