ITANAGAR, Jul 5: With 2 more deaths, the state’s Covid casualty tally rose to 179 on Monday and recoveries were far lesser compared to new infections.
Casualties
A 29-yr old from Lohit suffering from the comorbidity of hypertension (inoculated with dose 1) expired on Sunday on the way to Dibrugarh for treatment due to ARDS and Covid pneumonia. In the other case a 32-yr old male from Changlang expired at a private hospital in Dibrugarh on Sunday due to post Covid pneumonia related sepsis. He was not suffering from comorbidities and was not vaccinated.
Recoveries, New Cases, Sample Collection
Of the 426 new cases (asymptomatic 248; symptomatic 178), ICR (96), East Siang (56), West Kameng (44), Upper Subansiri( 34) and Lohit (32) were the top 5 districts. Among the 267 new recoveries, the first 4 districts were ICR (72), Changlang (27), Lohit (25) and Upper Subansiri (19). The state’s active caseload has now reached 3118 and recoveries 34234. 5840 samples were collected from across the state on the day with 1341 from the ICR.
Occupancy status
At the CCCs till 8 pm of July 5, it was 56 at DCH Chimpu, 36 at SQF Lekhi, 2 at DCHC Midpu, 11 at DCH Pasighat and 28 at DCHC.
