DEOMALI, Dec 10: The 1st round of training of Presiding and Polling Officers for Panchayati Raj Election began at Deomali and Khonsa today.
Addressing the training at Deomali, District Election Officer cum DC Tirap, Taro Mize requested the trainees to attend the training with full concentration. He cautioned against lackadaisical attitude and bias on the part of polling teams at any stage of the electioneering process.
Three rounds of training are scheduled for 116 Polling and Presiding Officers drafted from Deomali Sub-Division.
At Khonsa, Nodal Officer cum EAC Hakresha Kri, appealed all the polling officials to be pro-active and sincere while discharging poll duties, citing that in local body Panchayat Elections, all polling stations are sensitive and vulnerable.
