ZIRO, Jun 13: Intensified efforts of the District Administration under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Somcha Lowang and DMO Dr. Tage Kanno has resulted in 19 villages of Lower Subansiri District achieving 100 percent vaccination for 45 years and above.
Under CHC Yazali 100 percent vaccination coverage for 45 years and above has been achieved at Old Yazali, Kel Yazali, Yoizath, Rush, Amgi, Old Pitapool, Chod and Pitapool colony, Chullyu, NEEPCO Colony and Lichlith.
The combined efforts of Dr. Tao Tasser MO incharge and CO Yazali Tashi Wangchuk Thungon and concerted cooperation from the PRI members have led to the high vaccination coverage in this area.
Under Yachuli PHC Forest Area, Lumri 1, Lumri 2, Khore Putu, BDO Complex, Delli Hapa, and Mai Camp areas and villages have achieved 100 percent vaccination. Out of the total headcount of 575, overall vaccination coverage of 45 plus is 94.7% under Yachuli PHC. Dr. Tana Tat who is the MO incharge of Yachuli PHC expressed confidence of achieving 100 percent vaccination coverage under PHC Yachuli in the coming week.
Under Gyati Takka General hospital Taderko Subcenter, in Upper Yachuli and Ekhataya under PHC Deed have also achieved 100 percent vaccination coverage.
It is worth mentioning here that the ASHAs and Anganwadis workers have been the core members of the vaccination team. Right from the door to door headcount of the beneficiaries to assisting the District Administration in convincing the refusal cases the contribution of these two village level health workers has been immense and indispensable. Lower Subansiri also witnessed an unprecedented cooperation from ZPMs and PRI members to the vaccination team and the contact tracing team. The lunch, refreshments and even POL of the vaccination team were borne by the ZPMs of areas where vaccination outreach sessions were held. DIPRO
