KHONSA, Jul 5: As many as 155 Covid-19 SOP violators were booked during a 2-day special drive here in the township on July 4-5 that led to a realization of Rs 67,000 as penalties.
The drive was conducted by Tirap police in coordination with the Town Magistrate. Of the total number of violators, 120 were booked for not wearing masks and the rest for spitting at public places. Tirap SP Kardak Riba informed that the two-day drive was conducted by Tirap Police, joining the rest of the districts as instructed by the state DGP.
He also appealed to the people of the district to abide by all Covid SOPs and get vaccinated at the earliest from the nearest health centres free of cost. DIPRO
