ITANAGAR, Aug 18: Arunachal Pradesh on Wednesday reported 144 new Covid cases and two fatalities taking the death toll to 254.
The state continued to maintain the trend of higher rate of recoveries as the past weeks and a total of 220 patients recovered today.
The two deaths reported were that of a 65-year-old male from Changlang who died at DCHC Namsai and the second was that of a 40-year-old man from Namsai who passed away at Dibrugarh. Both the deceased were not vaccinated. Of the new cases, Itanagar Capital Complex reported the maximum cases at 29 with the positivity rate falling to 3.5 per cent. Papum Pare reported 24 cases with positivity rate of 4.0 percent. Symptomatic cases were 73 and asymptomatic 71.
Recoveries was the highest in the ICC with 66, West Kameng (40) and Lohit (27).
