Daporijo, Dec 15: Upper Subansiri District has completed the installation of Solar Electrification Systems and Smart Classrooms in 10 Government Schools, along with Skills Training and Youth Leadership Training Programme (YLTP) for local youths. The initiative strengthens digital education, clean energy access, and community-driven development across remote regions.
The project was funded by NewSpace India Limited (NSIL), the commercial arm of ISRO, and supported by the District Administration, led by Tasso Gambo, Deputy Commissioner, and Pokter Rime, DDSE, Upper Subansiri.
Implementation was carried out under the leadership of Prasanna Prabhu, Chairman, SSRDP – The Art of Living, and Chinmay Panth, Consultant, SSRDP, The Art of Living, Bengaluru.
The initiative is expected to help 2,600+ children access clean power and digital learning tools.
This initiative marks a major step towards creating a digitally empowered, energy-secure, and skill-enriched educational ecosystem in Upper Subansiri District—setting a model for sustainable rural development and youth empowerment. The community lauded Project Manager Ashok Harischandre and the AoL team for the good work.
