ITANAGAR, Mar 6 : Gunfight broke out between suspected NSCN-IM cadres and 6th Assam Rifles troops in remote Kapu village of Tirap district this evening around 5.45 pm, informed sources.
If reports are to be believed, acting on a tip off about the movement of some NSCN (IM) cadres in the remote village, some 25 Kilometers away from the District headquarters Khonsa, the Assam Rifles team swung into the action where the exchange of bullets took place.  
Till the filing of this report, there is no further information about any casualties from any side. However, operations are still in progress. Local Police from the district also rushed to the place of occurrence.
When contacted, PRO- APP confirmed about the incident.
