State Cabinet takes key decisions towards decentralised governance
PASIGHAT, Jan 31: Jawaharlal Nehru College (JNC) fraternity, Pasighat organised a befitting farewell and felicitation programme at JNC Auditorium on Friday to mark the superannuation of outgoing Principal, Dr. Tasi Taloh, who retired after completing 39 years of dedicated service in the education sector.
Vice -Principal,JNC Dr.Leki Sitang in his address expressed immense gratitude for the contribution, and visionary leadership of Dr. Taloh stating that during his tenure JNC witnessed immense academic and infrastructural development and modernisation initiatives including the establishment of new academic departments such as establishment of Mass Communication Department, strengthening of science laboratories, installation of CCTV surveillance, completion of environmental audit, signing of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with national and international institutions, and promotion of student-oriented and community outreach programmes such as campus community radio station. His contribution towards campus development and protection of college land was also highlighted.
Hailing from Ledum village in East Siang, Dr.Tasi Taloh completed his graduation from Jawaharlal Nehru College(JNC),Pasighat and later obtained his PhD from Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU). His 39 years of dedicated service included 14 years in school education and impactful tenures at IGG College (IGGC) ,Tezu and in Tirap.
Heads of departments, faculty members, ministerial staff, and student dwelt on Dr. Taloh’s role in institutional strengthening, discipline, and inclusive administration. They appreciated his commitment to academic growth, staff welfare, and student development.
In his farewell address, Dr. Taloh expressed gratitude to the faculty, staff, and students for their cooperation and support throughout his service. He stated that his long association with JNC remained a matter of pride and emotional attachment and urged all stakeholders to continue working collectively for the progress and legacy of the college in academic excellence.
