DEED, Oct 2: The Deed Youth Club (DYC) in collaboration with Jumna Physiotherapy organized a successful one-day healthcare awareness cum free treatment camp at the Deed community hall today.
The camp provided free treatment for various body pains, attracting a large number of attendees who benefited from the expert services.
In his welcome address, DYC President Neelam Obi emphasized the significance of the program in promoting healthcare awareness and providing accessible medical care to the community. He highlighted the importance of preventive measures and early diagnosis in maintaining overall well-being.
Dr. Toko Akku (PT) and Shanti Taku (PT), the resource persons for the camp, shared valuable insights on the importance of such initiatives and their contribution to improving the health of the community. They discussed the benefits of physiotherapy in managing various body pains and enhancing overall mobility.
DYC General Secretary Toko Rika expressed his satisfaction with the turnout and the positive impact of the camp. He acknowledged the support of Jumna Physiotherapy and the community members for making the event a success. He also expressed gratitude to Dr. Monty Nabam Tungon, former health secretary of All Yazali Kora Students’ Union for the support.
Neelam Mathew, the organizing chairman, thanked all the participants and volunteers for their contributions. He reiterated the DYC's commitment to organizing such healthcare initiatives in the future to address the community's needs and promote a healthier lifestyle.
