Itanagar, Apr 23: Amid the war of words between Techi Kaso, MLA 13th Itanagar Assembly Constituency, and Talo Potom, DC Itanagar, the 13th Itanagar Constitution Youth Association (ICYA) has demanded the immediate transfer of the Capital Deputy Commissioner accusing him of abusing his official position and causing undue hardship to the public.
In a press statement during a press conference on Wednesday, ICYA alleged that DC Potom has been taking arbitrary administrative decisions without regard for public welfare, leading to widespread frustration, particularly in areas concerning land management, public services, and regulatory crackdowns.
“The people are suffering. The DC is not listening to the grievances of the public and is instead using his authority in a biased and heavy-handed manner,” a representative said.
The association has also accused the DC of selectively targeting specific individuals and communities, actions they say are fueling division and fear among residents. They have called upon the Arunachal Pradesh state government to take swift action to restore fairness and accountability in the administration.
The ICYA warned that if its demand is not met promptly, they will launch democratic protests to press for justice and administrative reform.
So far, neither DC Talo Potom nor the Capital Administration has issued a response to the allegations.
