ITANAGAR, Aug 8: The All Nyishi Youth Association (ANYA) has expressed strong resentment over a recent press statement issued by the Adi Baane Kebang (ABK), urging ANYA and the All Nyishi Students’ Union (ANSU) to withdraw one of their demands regarding the District-Based Entrepreneur Act from their charter of demands.
Speaking to the media, ANYA President Jamru Ruja criticized ABK's interference, stating that one organization should not interfere in the affairs of another. Ruja emphasized that ANYA is committed to maintaining communal harmony and that such statements might create unnecessary confusion among the communities involved.
Furthermore, Ruja highlighted that ANYA has already submitted a memorandum to the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, requesting the removal of one Vijay Taram from the position of State Information Commissioner, who is also the General Secretary of ABK. He urged that any grievances should be communicated through appropriate channels, such as ANSU or the Nyishi Elite Society (NES), rather than through public press statements.
In addition to this, ANYA revealed that they have filed an FIR against an individual named Rakesh Pandey for allegedly running an illegal business in the capital region. The association is also demanding a public apology from Pandey.
ANYA has called on local authorities and building owners to exercise caution before entering into lease agreements or granting training licenses to non-locals, underscoring the need for vigilance in such matters.
