Itanagar, Aug 6: Wushu athletes showcased their brilliant prowess by bagging 5 medals (1 gold, 3 silver & 1 bronze) in the recently concluded 23rd Junior National Wushu Championship at Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu from July 26 to 31 last.
Miss Chera Loku bagged a gold and silver in Taijijian and Taijiquan event respectively, whereas Miss Takam Chumchi bagged one silver each in Traditional Taijiquan and single weapon (Taijijian) event.
In the sanda event Mr Tarang Sangbia bagged one bronze in 60 KG (U-17).
The Arunachal team was guided by Samnong Hakhun and Indra Bahadur Sonar as Manager & coach for Sanda and Taolu event (Boys) respectively while Shambom Mossang and Yeri Taju accompanied the team as manager and coach in sanda and taolu event (Girls).
Tach Tadar, President, All Arunachal Pradesh Wushu Association (AAPWA) praised the athletes for their magnificent performance on behalf of the association.
