NAMSAI, Oct 16:A daylong workshop for sensitization on Campus Ambassadors was held here today. Campus Ambassadors have been appointed as per directives of the Election Commission of India from among the students in recognized Colleges and Universities to bridge gap in youth electoral participation. 

Inaugurating the workshop, DC cum District Election Officer, RK Sharma said that they will be emissaries of the ECI in the campus to facilitate registration especially to the students on attainment of 18 years age.

He further requested the newly appointed Campus Ambassadors to enlighten civil society for greater participation in electoral process and to build a stronger democracy.

14 Campus Ambassadors from different educational Institutions of the district took part in the programme.
