ITANAGAR, Nov 19: As part of the Arunachal Literature Festival, essay writing and painting competitions were held on November 16 last for students. The painting competition was held for the students of class VI to VIII and the essay competition was held for the students of Class IX to XII.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu felicitated the winners in the presence of Minister IPR Bamang Felix and a host of other dignitaries during the valedictory function of the ALF held on Saturday.
In the essay competition, Aroona  Nyompu of Class X, VKV Nirjuli , Mamta  Dirchi Class XI, VKV Nirjuli and Chow kham Weingken class X, VKV Nirjuli stood 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively with a Cash prize of 5000,3000 and 2000 along with a Certificate and books --A philosophy of NEFA by Verrier Elwin and Escaping the land by Padmashree Mamang Dai.
In the painting competition, Prasanjit Das class VII  KV-I naharlagun, Tagru Bharat, class VIII GUPS IG park and Lancy Tümse Boje  class VI VKV Nirjuli stood 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively along with Cash prize of 5000,3000 and 2000 along with a Certificate and book( the Art of NEFA by Verrier Elwin)
