AALO, Fri 13:  The  West Siang District administration accompanied by civil society bodies conducted surprise raids on shops and various business establishments in several areas of headquarters Aalo on Friday.
During the raids a large quantity of plastic carry bags and other plastic materials were seized from shopkeepers and  penalty imposed  worth Rupees Twenty four thousand five hundred only. Later, the seized items were disposed off by burning.
The drive was led by Maryom Karlo, EAC cum Town Magistrate along with officials from UD & Housing Department, members from APWWS Aalo Unit, GWS Women Wing District Unit and members from GYO and PAYWA.
