Namsai, Jun 12: Union Minister of State for Law & Justice (i/c) and Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, Arjun Meghwal chaired a meeting with the District Administration and all Heads of Departments to review the implementation of the central schemes and interact with the state machinery to review programme and policies of central ministries today at Namsai.
He suggested to engage government officials as Ni-kshay Mitra under PM TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan to extend nutritional, diagnostic and vocational support to the patients of Tuberculosis. He stressed the importance of intensifying IEC and awareness of various government programmes such as Janani Suraksha Yojana, PM Matru Vandana Yojana, PM Surya Ghar etc. In addition, he urged the district authorities to conduct survey to identify unexplored minerals that could contribute to the district’s economic development. He then noted the challenges highlighted by the district in various sectors and further assured to address it accordingly. 
MLA Chau Zingnu Namchoom actively participated in the discussion and put forward his share of comments about the district’s challenges and requested to the MoS for appropriate support. 
DC Namsai, SP Namsai, all HoDs were present in the meeting. 
Prior to the meeting, Meghwal visited the construction site of Vatsalya Sadan in Piyong along.
