PASIGHAT, Sep 11:  Union MoS for Rural Development, Kamlesh Paswan who is on a two-day visit to East Siang district today during a review meeting held at Siang Guest House here, said that the socio-economic progress and upliftment of rural India with special focus on Northeastern states is one of the top priorities of the Central Government to attain the vision of the Prime Minister for Vikshit Bharat. He stressed on generating maximum awareness on the central schemes so that the benefits reach the intended target rural beneficiaries for availing rural housing, livelihood, skill development and economic opportunities and assistance for farmers and also various social security schemes for the rural poor. 
The Union RD MoS also made special mention for creating maximum awareness on the Lakhpati Didi Yojana implemented by the ARSLM, Arunachal Pradesh for economic empowerment of rural women.
East Arunachal Lok Sabha MP Tapir Gao,Pasighat East and West MLAs Tapi Darang and Ninong Ering respectively and Nari-Koyu MLA Tojir Kadu also attended the review meeting chaired by the Union MoS for RD. Earlier, DC East Siang Tayi Taggu highlighted the socio-economic profile of the district and developmental indicators of the district.

The Union MoS reviewed the status of various Central Sponsored Schemes under the Ministry of rural development, including Prime Minister Awas Yojana (Gramin)2.0, Prime Minister Sinchai Yojana, MGNREGA  and lauded the quality of Pucca Houses constructed under PMAY(G) in the four CD blocks of Bilat, Ruksin, Mebo and Pasighat  while maintaining traditional aesthetics too.
On rural connectivity, the Union MoS also reviewed the status of PMGSY III in the district. PD DRDA Tajing Padung in his PPT presentation briefed the progress of PMKSY 2.0, PMAY and MGNREGA adding that survey is under progress at Gram Panchayat level for PMAY 2.0.
EE RWD Er. Jorsing briefed on progress of PMGSY III in his PPT Presentation, while the DDICDS Machi Gao also presented PPT on Social Security Schemes. ARSLM Block Manager M Doke also highlighted the initiatives taken by mobilsing SHGs in rural areas for successful implementation of Lakhpati Didi Scheme in the district.
