ITANAGAR, Nov 7: The Arunachal Pradesh Trade Union Federation (APTUF) has issued a stern ultimatum to the state government today, demanding immediate attention to their grievances.
In a press conference held in the press club on Tuesday, APTUF Chairman, Changma Tajo, disclosed that the federation has set a 14-day deadline for the state government to meet their demands. Failure to do so may result in APTUF initiating a democratic movement in protest.
The focal point of APTUF's ultimatum revolves around their insistence on the removal of the current Chairman of the Arunachal Pradesh Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (APB&OCWWB). The federation alleged that the chairman is implicated in financial mismanagement and unauthorized appointments within the board.
Tajo underlined the principle that individuals with political affiliations should not occupy positions of authority within the welfare board. APTUF, therefore, advocates for the appointment of a leader from the Arunachal Pradesh Trade Union Federation to assume the chairman's role, in an effort to ensure transparency and accountability in the board's operations.
The incumbent Chairman of Chairman of the Arunachal Pradesh Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (APB&OCWWB) could not be contacted for his comments on the allegations.
