ITANAGAR, Dec 17: Todo United FC defeated Arunachal Pradesh Police Sports Control Board in the first match in the ongoing 8th Eagle Trophy Football Championship 2023 played today at Golden Jubilee Outdoor Stadium, Yupia.
Damli Bomnyo scored a brace for Todo Utd FC in the 81st and 98th minute of the match while other two goals were contributed by Yash Chikro (21’) and Tarh Dolu(31’). A lone consolation goal for APPSCB was scored by Joymath Mili in the 85th minute.
In a thrilling second match of the day, Bamang Taji FC defeated the defending champion Gora Makik SC 1-0. First half ended goalless despite various attacking plays from both teams. In the 50th minute, Rahul Singpho of Bamang Taji FC broke the deadlock and scored the winning goal for his team.
