ITANAGAR, Dec 28: A mega rally cum public meeting was held at Basar organized by the BJP Leparada District on December 27 last which was attended by about eight thousand people from various villages of Basar Assembly Constituency in support of ZPC Nyabi Jini Dirchi, the aspiring MLA candidate of 29-Basar Assembly constituency.
Minister industries, Tumke Bagra speaking on the occasion said that Dirchi is the undisputed BJP MLA candidate from Basar assembly constituency who gained support of the majority of the public of the area including senior citizens, former ministers, retired bureaucrat and technocrat, panchayat leaders and others of the district.
Terming the grapevine buzz that sitting NPP legislator Gokar Basar will be getting the BJP ticket, Bagra termed it 'false propaganda, which the people of the area should not believe.' He said that Dirchi has strengthened and built up the BJP party in the district and credit goes to her only and she should be rewarded with party ticket, however Bagra said that the party ticket will be finalized by the Chief Minister, state president and the parliamentary board of the party. He urged the karyakartas to unitedly work to strengthen the party in the district. He expressed his full support for Dirchi and assured to convey the message of people of Leparada District to the party high command.
Nalong Mize State General Secretary welcomed the NPP leaders and workers who joined BJP numbering 3698 during the last few months, and said that their joining will definitely strengthen the party at the grass root level.
Nyabi Jini Dirchi in her speech highlighted in detail developmental activities initiated in Leparada district. She appreciated and thanked the BJP party high command for full support to work to strengthen at the grass root level. She appreciated Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Pema Khandu and highlighted various developmental projects initiated by the BJP government in the state. She said that need of the hour is to stress on health, education, road connectivity, infrastructure development and welfare of senior citizen and its people. She also assured to work for the welfare of the newly created district with sincerity and dedication.
Gojen Gadi, former Minister said the sitting MLA neglected the developmental activities in the district. He said that the mega rally which was participated by more than 8000 peoples in support of Dirchi is a great achievement and predicted that after December 2023 more that 90% people will support the BJP.
Eken Riba, former Minister said that the local MLA assured health, education, road communication etc., in the district which has failed in all fronts. He appealed to the BJP party high command to respect the sentiments of the people of the district who work for the party with sincerity and dedication by giving the party ticket to Dirchi for the assembly election.
Tabom Bam, Retired Chief Secretary, Jonya Basar District President Leparada also addressed the gathering.
