TEZU, Dec 23: Zone2 Multi Media Campaign (MMC) was conducted at Tezu, the headquarters of Lohit district today with four rock bands -- Morbid Hallucinations, Bleak, Rising Sun and Follow the Moon-- competing in the MMC Rock Band contest. The Soul Side, winner of last year’s multi media campaign also performed and enthralled the audience.
MMC is a platform where young talents come to create awareness about HIV.
Assistant Commissioner, S Rao, who was the chief guest advised the young generation to stay away from drugs and alcohol. He appreciated the community bonding among the tribal people.
The guest of honour, Superintendent of Police, Minjom Ete urged the youth to be sincere and dedicated in their studies to ensure a better future.
Project Director Arunachal Pradesh State AIDS Control Society (APSACS) Dr Marbom Basar
highlighted the objectives of the MMC where youth are involved to generate awareness about HIV. DMO Namsai asked the contestants to create awareness about HIV.
Jt Director IEC APSACS Tashor Pali, said that the MMC is of the youth, for the youth and by the youth.
