Itanagar, Aug 10: MLA Toko Tatung (Prakash) inaugurated the 12th State Level Youth, Junior and Senior Weightlifting Championship at SAI Sports Training Centre (STC), Naharlagun urging the athletes to play the game with optimism and determination fixing the eyes at Gold medal in Asiad, World and Olympic Games. 
Citing example of his business, he said, faith in god, discipline and hard work is the source of every success. He further informed that the E&K restaurant flourished out of  his untiring endeavours, which catered to over 20,000 people in 10 days during the 2011 National weightlifting championship at Nirjuli and to dignitaries including Presidents of India.
Abraham K Techi, President of Arunachal Weightlifting Association in his welcome speech appreciated the efforts of Daniel Teli, former and founder General Secretary of the  Association who was a reason for 80 percent success of the players in his time of which 90 percent of the athletes are in government job now. He took children with his own money to Army Sports Institute Pune, Secunderabad and admitted them in different sports institution in India. He also thanked Toko Tatung for providing a set of  weightlifting equipment to Arunachal weightlifting Association in 2012.
The gathering also held a two minute silence in memory of Chello Tade, Ex- Weightlifting player of SAI centre, Naharlagun who expired on Friday at Karsingsa due to illness.
