PASIGHAT, Dec 19: Deputy Commissioner East Siang, Tayi Taggu has urged citizens to avail the welfare central flagship schemes launched by the Government of India to benefit various sections of society in health sector, skill development, agri-allied, livelihood , sanitation and various other sectors for all round development of the rural and urban areas of the nation. He was addressing the Vikshit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) organized at Diking Gram Panchayat segment today.
The DC particularly appealed to the artisans and craftsmen to avail the PM Vishwakarma Yojana launched by the Govt. of India which provides training and financial assistance. He also stressed for coverage of everyone under Health Insurance scheme ,Ayushman Bharat and CMAAY.
JE APEDA, briefed the people on PM Kusum Scheme with 80% subsidy provision for generating electricity through solar rooftop and also on LED bulb distribution under Ujala Scheme. PTA Panchayat ,Onyok Sitang highlighted on the procedures like online registration for availing the PM Vishwakarma Scheme for taking up enterprises like carpentry,weaving,doll & toy making etc., by artisans and craftsmen.
Certificates were also distributed by the DC to the beneficiaries of flagship schemes.
The VBSY was also participated by 38th East Siang Mandal team, senior citizens of Diking , HoDs, GBs, PRI members, Anganwadi workers(Awws), community members among others. DIPRO
