ITANAGAR, Jun 21: The Arunachal Pradesh Youth Congress (APYC) hold a protest today at the Rajiv Bhawan premises against the recent alleged NEET paper leak scam and the subsequent inquiry against the National Testing Agency (NTA). The protesters, holding placards and banners and shouting slogans, demanded the resignation of the Union Education Minister.
Tarh Johny, President of the APYC, addressed the gathering, stating, "This protest will not stop here. We will join forces with the National Students' Union of India (NSUI) to voice our concerns at the national level. The Union Education Minister should resign on moral grounds."
Johny criticized the central BJP government for remaining silent on the issue, highlighting that students and parents across various states, including Arunachal Pradesh, are being victimized. He pointed out that such scams cast doubts on the credibility of genuine doctors and demanded accountability from the NTA.
He further criticized the BJP leaders who have claimed themselves as the "Chowkidars" (watchmen) of the nation, stating, "Under the nose of such so-called Chowkidars of BJP, this huge scam took place. It’s very shameful for the nation and disheartening for the student community. The BJP is sleeping while this scam unfolds under their governance."
The APYC held the protest after growing frustration and anger among students and parents, who feel betrayed by the system meant to ensure fair educational opportunities. APYC will continue the protest and  call for the resignation of the Union Education Minister and stringent action against those responsible for the scam continues to gain momentum at national level, he added.
