Itanagar, Jun 28: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Arunachal Pradesh conducted tree plantation programme led by Gumsen Lollen, State President, Kisan Morcha, BJP Arunachal Pradesh and his team at Naharlagun which was participated by the rank and file of the BJP. Enthusiastic party karyakartas planted more than 200 plants including edible fruits saplings at Catholic Church, Pappu Nallah, Naharlagun.
Speaking on the occasion, Tai Tagak, former advisor to Chief Minister highlighted in detail about the importance of the programme and safeguarding the environment for the well-being of the future generations. He stressed on fostering global awareness and inspiring positive change and environmental action to create a more sustainable world.
Tadar Niglar State General Secretary while appreciating the State Kisan Morcha team for organising the tree plantation programme, said that the theme of the tree plantation programme “ek ped maa ke naam” is part of the 14-day programme which will conclude on July 6 next.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had launched the programme on the occasion of World Environment Day on June 5 last. Niglar appealed to everyone to plant trees and actively engage in the preservation of nature and safeguarding the environment from global warming.
