Itanagar, Jan 16: ​The Chief Electoral Officer, Arunachal Pradesh gave away the Best Electoral Practices State Award for Simultaneous Election, 2024 to the District Election Officers and Superintendents of Police.
The function held on January 15 at Nirvachan Bhawan, Itanagar was attended by Chief Secretary, Manish Kumar Gupta as Chief Guest and Director General of Police, Anand Mohan as the Guest of Honour. All the Commissioners, Secretaries, District Election Officers/Deputy Commissioners, State Nodal Officers, and Awardees were present in the said function.
The award was presented to twelve District Election Officers-cum-Deputy Commissioners and seven Superintendents of Police. The Best Electoral Practices State Award comprised of Certificate, Memento, and cash prize of Rs. 50,000/- (Rupees Fifty Thousand) which shall be utilised for SVEEP activities. 
The Chief Secretary also launched the Flow of Instruction Compendium and Statistical Handbook with respect to Simultaneous Elections 2024 in Arunachal Pradesh on the said occasion.
Ms. Mamu Hage, IAS, District Election Officer, West Siang; Ms. Vishakha Yadav, IAS, District Election Officer, Kurung Kumey; Ms. Soumya Saurabh, IAS, District Election Officer, Lower Dibang Valley; Shri Rohit Rajbir Singh, IPS, SP Itanagar; Shri Dekio Gumja, APPS, SP Longding; Dr. Sachin Singhal, IPS and Ms. Bullo Mamu, IRS shared their experiences during the conduct of Simultaneous Elections, 2024.
The Students of Kendriya Vidyalaya Naharlagun; Kendriya Vidyalaya Itanagar and Vivekananda Kendriya Vidyalaya Chimpu were also felicitated with Certificate, trophy and gifts by Ankur Garg, IAS, Commissioner to Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh for Best Poster MakingTeams.
Further, Ankur Garg, IAS gave away Best Booth Level Officer Award to Chow Tee Chowpoo, PRT, Namsai; Tohua Misia, TGT Khonsa and Same Mikhu, Gram Sevika (Jr), Roing which consisted of Certificate, Trophy, and cash prize of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand).
Marie Game, SVEEP State Transgender Icon was also felicitated.
The award function ended with Vote of Thanks from Liken Koyu, Joint Chief Electoral Officer,Arunachal Pradesh.
