ITANAGAR, Nov 27: The Indigenous Faith Day, a blend of faith and festivity, will be celebrated on December 1 next across the state. At Itanagar, more than 10,000 people from diverse cultures and faith groups will participate in the best of costumes and attires. 
The one-day spectacular multicultural fest with its venue at Nyikum Niya Ground, Nirjuli will be joined by Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Education minister Er. Taba Tedir. Students from Nyubu Nyvgam Yerko, Rang (Seppa), Nyubu Nyvgam Yerko, Mwya (Pistana), Nilung Tungko, Komsing (Pangin), and Menjwk Menkok Rwgu, Basar, will be showcasing the repositories of indigenous knowledge systems, traditions, practices and craftsmanship.
The day commemorates the birth centenary of Golgi Bote (late) Talom Rukbo, the doyen and pioneer of the movement for revival and reform of conventional systems of indigenous faiths.
