ITANAGAR, Oct 20: The 5th annual governing body meeting of the Sports Authority of Arunachal (SAA) was held on Friday.
The meeting was chaired by Minister, Sports & Youth Affairs cum President, Sports Authority of Arunachal, Mama Natung. Various issues and challenges facing the sports sector of the state were discussed in length. The house advocated for collective effort of all stakeholders to make the state a sports hub in the country in years to come. Also various policies regarding welfare of athletes, sportspersons and coaches were discussed.
Further, the house also resolved to extend all possible support in promotion and development of sports in the state.
Among the executive members Byabang Taj, Chairman, SAA, Sanjeev Tana Tara, Vice-Chairman, SAA, Abu Tayeng, Secretary, Sports & Youth Affairs, Gumnya Karbak, Director, SAA and Tadar Appa, Director (Sports) attended the meeting along with other co-opted members of the SAA.
