PASIGHAT, Dec 26: Union Minister of Ayush, Ports, Shipping & Waterways, Sarbananda Sonowal today visited Gurudwara Sahib at Pasighat main market and paid obeisance and prayers on the occasion of Veer Bal Diwas. Established in 1967, Pasighat Gurudwara stands as a testimony to the rich legacy of Pasighat Smart City.
To mark the nationwide observance of Veer Bal Diwas to commemorate the martyrdom of Sahibzadas Zorawar Singh & Fateh Singh, the Union Minister paid his tribute to the brave four sons of Sikh Guru Guru Gobindji.
“The teachings of Sikh Guru Gobind Ji inspire us all to be patriotic Indians and today we join the nation in honoring the martyrs who made the supreme sacrifice and inspires and evokes pride and patriotism in every Indian."
Sonowal urged all to together build and strive towards “Ek Bharat, Shresth Bharat” as envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take India to the heights of one of the most developed nations, he said on the occasion.
LokSabha MP Tapir Gao, Health & Family Welfare Minister Alo Libang, Pasighat local MLA Kaling Moyong, Information Commissioner, Gumjum Haider, Chief Councillor, Pasighat Municipal Council, Okiam Moyong Borang and prominent personalities, Councillors, among others also offered prayers at Gurudwara Sahib to mark the occasion.
