PASIGHAT, Sep 18: Rural Works & Education Minister PD Sona has conveyed the special attention by the state government under the leadership of CM Pema Khandu for the welfare and upliftment of the workers of the state in terms of extending and launching various incentives, social security benefits and to improve their working conditions.
Sona, was addressing a mammoth gathering from various districts at the National Labour Day organized by the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh in collaboration with All Arunachal Pradesh PM Poshan Workers’ Union on Tuesday at Giidi Notko, Pasighat. Earlier the Minister along with Chairman Arunachal Pradesh Building & other Construction workers ‘s Welfare Board  (APB & OCWWB), Rolen Dagam lit the ceremonial lamp to invoke the blessings of the deity god craftsmen, Baba Vishwakarma.
Responding to a six-point memorandum submitted by the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS), Sona assured active consideration based on feasibility.
The Minister also called upon the workers and all sections of society to take pride in the dignity of labour and lauded them for their immense contribution in the progress and prosperity of the Nation. Sona also urged them to avail the various welfare and social security schemes of the state and central government and also the incentives and benefits of AP B & OCWWB for the workers and asked the workers to register under the Board for availing the benefits.
Chairman APB & OCWWB, Rolen Dagam, District BMS President Mipet Tayeng, District BMS GS, Pashoni Lego, Vice President of All Arunachal Pradesh PM Poshan Workers Union Tadar Mangku also spoke on the occasion.
Members of East Siang Vendors’ Association, BRO Labour Union, federating bodies of 26 districts attended among others.
