PASIGHAT, Aug 30: To promote sports and being physically active in the day to day life, Sigar Military Station conducted a two days football tournament at the Pasighat outdoor stadium for school students of Pasighat on the occasion of National Sports Day. National Sports Day marks the birth anniversary of Major Dhyan Chand. 
The event featured a three day football tournament with enthusiastic participation by students of age group between 14-17 years, Four schools including IGJ government high school, DEM government high school, Kendriya Vidhyalaya and Sainik school East Siang (SSES)participated in the event. The final match was played between Sainik School and IGJ government high school in which the former won the match by 2-0.
