PASIGHAT, Aug 20: In a gesture of unity and respect, the Indian Army troops at Sigar Military Station celebrated Raksha Bandhan with sisters of Arunachal Pradesh on Monday. The Sigar Military Station hosted women from 'Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari', Pasighat and Motum & Raling villages of East Siang District, symbolizing the deep bond between the Indian Army and the civilian population, particularly the women, considered as sisters by the brave soldiers guarding the nation.
The celebration witnessed a warm exchange of emotions as the women tied colourful rakhis to the Army personnel. The soldiers, in turn, reaffirmed their commitment to safeguarding the people of the nation, emphasizing the strong bond of trust and support that exists between the Army and the local communities.
The army personnel expressed their heartfelt gratitude towards the sisters who participated in the event.
