Pasighat, Aug 14: A voluntary blood donation camp was organised today by Seva Bharati Arunachal Pradesh, Pasighat Unit at Blood Centre, Bakin Pertin General Hospital Pasighat. The camp was organised on the occasion of Akhand Bharat Divas, wherein 21 voluntary blood donors, including a lone woman donor donated their precious blood. Dr. Dilem Modi, in-Charge of the Blood Centre thanked the donors for doing a noble job of saving lives through the camp. Dr YR Darang, Medical Superintendent and Dr Kaling Jerang, President of Seva Bharati Arunachal Pradesh were also present during the camp.
Akhand Bharat Divas is an occasion to create awareness on the glorious past of this civilisation, what is known as India, that is Bharat. Civilisational India or Bharat is different from Political India. Political India was born on 15th August 1947, but Civilisational India goes back thousands of years back into the past, which was  Akhand Bharat. It's a glorious ancient civilisation, which is a rare ancient civilisation because it has survived the longest, other ancient civilisations everywhere in the world having perished a long, long time ago, the Seva Bharati AP said in a statement.
