Tuting, Oct 30: Atal Dullo, Secretary (Border Management), Ministry of Home Affair arrived at Tuting on Monday on a two- day visit to oversee the Vibrant Village Programme and border infrastructure projects in Upper Siang District. He has been accompanied by the state Chief Secretary Dharmendra, IG ITBP Mihir and Secretary Planning R.K Sharma.
Soon after arrival, Dullo visited vibrant village Gelling and interacted with  Gaon Burahs, PRI members, SHGs, Government officials and ITBP jawans to assess the progress of vibrant villages.
While briefly  speaking to the people, Dullo informed that Govt of India  is   focussing on border villages through aspirational  Vibrant Village Programme for overall development of villages located in border areas with special emphasis on improvement of road connectivity and to provide all kinds of basic  facilities to the last man standing  through convergence model by all Ministries of Govt of India and the state governments. Dullo also highly appreciated the public of Gelling for maintaining cordial relations with the armed forces and said that "villagers are soldiers without uniform and plays greater role in safeguarding the border."
Chief Secretary Dharmendra also spoke and informed that Secretary BM, MHA has come to oversee the works of Vibrant Village Programme, border infrastructure  and to interact with villagers to know their problems for finding a better solution.
Earlier on  arrival of dignitaries,  the  Deputy Commissioner Hage Lailang, ADC Starlie Jamoh , SP Token Saring, ITBP,  Army Officers, all HoDs, PRIs, GBs , Ponung parties accorded a warm reception at Tuting.
