ITANAGAR, Dec 19: Arunachal State Rural Livelihoods Mission (ArSRLM) has inked an MoU with State Bank of India (SBI) under the aegis of Secretary RD & PR, Amarnath Talwade and SBI represented by Aftab Ahmad Mallick, Deputy General Manager (B&O), SBI, Dibrugarh.
This MoU is entered to expedite the SHG Bank Linkage on Savings, Credit, Insurance & Remittances for 12000 self help groups (SHGs) promoted under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana National Rural Livelihood Mission (DAY-NRLM) in Arunachal Pradesh.
Terming the MoU as historic, Secretary RD mentioned that approximately 12000 SHGs, 821 Primary Level Federations (PLFs) and 28 Cluster Level Federations (CLFs) will be benefitted through the MoU by availing the credit linkage and accessing all the major financial products & services of the bank through the largest banking network of the country.
Mr Mallick, DGM (B&O) gave his commitment that SBI will extend all support for facilitating the SHGs and its higher federation’s credit requirement along with the basic banking products. He further discussed the innovative approach on state driven interest subvention and credit guarantee scheme for Arunachal Pradesh.
Vikal Sharma, Regional Manager, RBO, Itanagar, Manish Kumar Jha, CM (DVAS), Duyu Ribya, CEO cum SMD, ArSRLM, Hillang Tasap, SMM FI, ArSRLM, were also present on the occasion.
