SEIJOSA, Mar 11: A demonstration on basic steps and techniques of rescue and safety preparedness during disasters like earthquake, flood, landslides and fire etc for school going children’s was conducted today by an expert team led by ADC Seijosa Kento Riba here at Government Middle School A2, Seijosa.

During the day-long programme, the expert team led by ADC gave detail information to the students about the precautions to be taken during heavy rain and flood and elaborated about the use of improvised methods during disaster from locally available resources and later highlighted about the way of operating rescue equipment and giving first-aid to injured persons.

Apart from demonstration on disaster management, the team also elaborated the students about the disaster preparedness and safety tips to reduce the extent of disaster.

School children, government officials, teaching staff and public were present in the programme.
