Dirang, Dec 9: Union Cabinet Minister of Earth Sciences, Kiren Rijiju, graced the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra program today at Rama Camp under the Dirang circle of West Kameng District. 
In his interaction with the public, Rijiju underscored the government's sincere commitment to the development and upliftment of rural communities. Outlining the goals of various schemes, he informed the public about the government's comprehensive efforts across sectors to enhance services. Initiatives such as JJM, Garib Kalyan Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, PM Awas Yojana, Kisan Credit Card, Khelo India, etc., are among the focal points of these endeavours.
He also praised Chug Village for its cleanliness and urged elders to inspire youths to maintain a clean society. Rijiju emphasized the need to reduce plastic usage and advocated for a complete ban on single-use plastic.
He directed the district administration to ensure that the mobile IEC van carrying government messages on schemes covers all villages in the district, promoting public awareness.
Under the theme "Meri Kahani Meri Zubani," beneficiaries shared their testimonies on how government schemes positively impacted their livelihoods.
Rijiju also honoured the beneficiaries on the occasion.
DC, SP, ADC Dirang, ZPMs, HODs, PRI members, SHGs, and the public of Lish, Chug, and Rama Camp attended the event. (DIPRO)
