DOIMUKH, Aug 13: In accordance with the directives of the University Grants Commission (UGC) for observing National Anti-ragging day followed by Anti ragging week from August 12 -18 next, the Rajiv Gandhi University celebrated the National Anti-ragging day in a befitting manner.
Presiding over the programme, Vice Chancellor Prof. Saket Kushwaha in his speech focused on the menace of ragging and its impact upon young minds and urged all to unite against such evil. Registrar Dr. N.T. Rikam also spoke at length about the impact of ragging and said that it was comparatively lower and almost absent in Arunachal. Dr. Manoj deliberated on the various aspects of ragging and the punishments and impact. Earlier welcoming the dignitaries chairperson of the Anti-ragging committee highlighted upon the significance and need of observing the day.
