ITANAGAR, Aug 5: The Adi Bane Kebang (ABK) has made a formal appeal to the All Nyishi Students' Union (ANSU) and the state government, expressing concerns over ANSU's demand to repeal the district-based entrepreneurship act. ABK has urged ANSU to review its demands particularly to repeal the district-based entrepreneurship act.
Speaking to the media at the press club, General Secretary ABK Vijay Taram highlighted the significance of the district-based entrepreneurship act, emphasizing its role in fostering local entrepreneurship and economic development within individual districts.
“The act has been instrumental in providing a framework for supporting small businesses and entrepreneurs at the grassroots level, thereby promoting self-reliance and economic growth in various regions,” he said.
The organization further stated that repealing the act could lead to an imbalance in development opportunities, potentially disadvantageous for certain districts that rely heavily on the support and incentives provided by the legislation. ABK stressed the need for a balanced approach to economic growth, where all regions can equally benefit from governmental policies and initiatives.
The ABK has called on the state government to engage in discussions with all stakeholders, including ANSU and other regional organizations, to find a consensus that prioritizes the well-being and development of all districts.
