PASIGHAT, Sep 27: The Apex Professional University, Pasighat on Thursday organized a red run marathon race marking World Pharmacist Day.
Arunachal Pradesh State AIDS Control Society under the aegis of NACO, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India organized ‘youth festival’ through marathon race (Red Run, 5 km) for the Red Ribbon Clubs of the state. The winners of the red run marathon competition will represent their college at the state level, then at regional and national level. The idea behind it is to actively involve and engage members of Red Ribbon Clubs/College students in disseminating information related to HIV/AIDS, adolescent health, mental health and any other public threat etc., informed officials of the Apex Professional University, Pasighat.
The winners of the red run marathon among the boys were Rajkumar Charoh (Pharmaceutical Sciences), Sonam Jurme Khamba (Law and Ogam Passing (B.Ed), 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively. Among the girls the winners were Lobsang Tselam (B. Ed), Christina Padung (B. Ed) and Okenmang Darung (Law) in 1st, 2nd and 3rd place respectively.
