ITANAGAR, Nov 15: The Raj Bhavan, Itanagar under the guidance of the Governor
Lt. General KT Parnaik (Retd.) celebrated the Jharkhand foundation day on Wednesday.
The Governor extended greetings to the people of Jharkhand on their Statehood and conveyed good wishes. He also thanked the people of Jharkhand working in Arunachal Pradesh for their contributions in the progress of the State.
Parnaik advised the students studying in higher education institutes of the State to imbibe the traditions and customs of the people. He also suggested them to visit different parts of the State and know the essence of the cultural heritage.
The Governor stressed on the celebration of every State's heritage and traditions by making people in different parts of the country aware of the traditions and culture of other regions and celebrating them as part of his ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’ initiative.
A number of people from Jharkhand, including professionals and students attended the programme. The Governor and the First Lady of the State interacted with them and acquainted themselves with the wellbeing of the people of Jharkhand in Arunachal Pradesh.
As part of the programme, the audio-visual message of the Governor of Jharkhand, C. P. Radhakrishnan was played on the occasion.
