PASIGHAT, Sep 30: The month-long Poshan Maah under Poshan Abhiyan in East Siang district concluded today on a positive note at Mebo.
The observation was held under the active supervision of the Dy. Director (ICDS) Machi Gao, Women & Child Development department.
Deputy Commissioner In-charge Oli Perme (ADC, HQ) graced the occasion as Chief Guest and Mebo Banggo ZPMs Oter Ering Tayeng and Osu Borang participated as special guests. The concluding ceremony was organized by the Mebo CDPO Oman Tangu Taloh while the CDPO Ruksin Onyok Panyang presented a detail report on the month-long celebration. Three best self help groups were also awarded for their presentation.
A “Haat Baazar” was also inaugurated where locally grown organic vegetables, millet food items and othe edibles and handicrafts products of the SHGs were displayed.
Encouraging the participants, the i/c DC lauded the efforts and hard-work of the concerned officers, field workers, SHGs and Anganwadi workers of the district in implementing various government schemes and programmes. She urged the gathering to take the opportunity and avail the schemes implemented by the state and the central governments which provides numerous benefits for individuals and the overall development of the district. Perme reiterated on the need for every citizen to cooperate with various line departments, officers and field workers of the district so that every programme and scheme implemented will be successful and benefit the public at large.
DD (ICDS) Machi Gao stressed on the importance of consuming clean and healthy nutritious food to prevent children from sickness and diseases and other health issues.
