ITANAGAR, Jul 26: The Capital Police, under its flagship initiative "Police Ajin," conducted a series of impactful awareness campaigns at various schools in Itanagar. Led by SDPO Itanagar Kengo Dirchi, OC P.S. Chimpu Inspector Neeraj Nishant, and OC P.S. NitiVihar Takhe Tasso, the campaign aimed to educate and empower students to become vigilant and responsible citizens.
The campaign focused on drug awareness, educating students on the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Students were informed about the harmful effects of drug use and encouraged to stay drug-free. They were also urged to report peers who might need help.
Additionally, the officers highlighted the importance of reporting bullying and abuse to maintain a safe and supportive school environment. To facilitate this, complaint boxes were installed in schools, providing a confidential way for students to voice their concerns.
The campaign also commemorated "Kargil Diwas," reminding students of the bravery and sacrifices of Indian soldiers and inspiring them to serve the nation with dedication and honor.
The Police Ajin initiative by the Capital Police is dedicated to building a safer, more connected community through active engagement and support, stated a release.
