Yupia, June 5: Plantations were carried out at Amrut  Sarovar sites under various Panchayat segments of Papum Pare on the occasion of World Environment Day today.
The program which was led by the PRI members and the GBs were held at Dadang panchayat under Sagalee Block, Doimukh and Borum blocks ,Sonajuli and Chessa under Balijan block.
Similar plantation program to mark the WED was held at Gumto. The CO Office, Gumto in collaboration with the Forest Department planted more than 100 saplings in the office premises and vicinity.
CO Gumto Afa Phassang, spearheading the program requested all to take care of the saplings planted and ensure their survival.
